蒙特利尔亚裔男子酒驾撞死人 保释期间再次无证驾驶被捕

蒙特利尔一名亚裔男子累积了数十张交通罚单，并于今年 1 月因酒驾撞死行人被判有罪，上月再次被捕。
2023 年 5 月，女行人 Fabienne Houde-Thibeault 在小意大利区 St-Laurent 街附近的 Jean-Talon 街过马路时被撞身亡。
在审判中，驾驶者 Vi Trung Ngo ( 图 ) 承认酒驾导致他人死亡。 Ngo 自事故发生后一直保释中，等待下个月的判决。
但 Ngo 上个月再次被捕，并被控违反保释条件，据称他无证驾驶。

Ngo 的保释申请被拒，目前已被关押等待宣判。周五 (19 日 ) ，他对违反保释条件和无证驾驶的新指控表示认罪。
Houde-Thibault 的许多亲人都在怀疑如何才能阻止 Ngo 再次开车。
Ngo 近年已收到 40 多张交通罚单，其中 5 张涉及无证驾驶。
Houde-Thibault 的家人认为，只有长期监禁才能确保 Ngo 不会危害其他人的生命安全。
