魁省一项保障消费者权益法例正式生效

魁省有关零售产品永续性和产品计划报废的新法例 10 月 5 日起生效，违例的商户将被罚款。
相关法例于 2023 年 10 月 3 日在省议会获得通过，旨在保护消费者免受商家故意缩短产品寿命的影响，并促进商品的耐用性、可维修性和保养性。
魁省的商家现在不可再销售任何被故意缩短正常使用寿命的商品。
省府表示，消费者从购物阶段就需要得到产品是否备有维修或保养所需的零件和资讯，以便决定是否购买。

其他保障消费者的条例也已生效，违例的商家和制造商可能会被罚款。
省府在声明中表示，商家必须以合理的价格提供备件和维修服务，而且零件必须能够使用常用的工具进行安装。
去年 9 月，联邦经济发展署及环境部曾就此问题进行网上咨询，当时指其他省份的政府正在考虑订立类似的法例，加强保障消费者权益。
