魁省移民部长威胁渥京 要削减寻求庇护者福利

由于大量寻求庇护者持续涌入魁北克省，移民部长罗伯格 (Jean-François Roberge ，图 ) 重申，如果渥太华不增加拨款，他将削减寻求庇护者的社会援助。
他拒绝透露何时会实施这一威胁。
“ 有些人拿到工作许可，经过几个月时间还是没有工作，仍然领取社会援助金。 ” 罗伯格说他相信这些人难以在魁北克扎根，所以省政府最终将大幅削减社会援助，以鼓励这些人转往其他省份。
若真的削减福利，罗伯格表示他將考虑到有子女的寻求庇护者。
政府预计， 2024 年寻求庇护者衍生的费用达到 7.33 亿元，其中包括 5 亿元的社会援助费用。
罗伯格表示他已致函联邦政府，表达了他的担忧。
罗伯格在信中敦促渥太华继续 “ 加强识别真正的难民，并采取措施收紧签证发放，防止有人以虚假借口入境加拿大 ” 。
这位部长还要求联邦政府 “ 采取具体措施，公平分配这些新移民在加拿大各个省份 ” 。
