蒙特利尔市长宣布了一系列新措施帮助无家可归者度过寒冬。
费拉达 (Soraya Martinez Ferrada) 表示，蒙特利尔将在圣诞节前开放 500 个新的避寒中心床位。
她还表示，市政府正在组建一个危机应对小组，该小组将每周召开会议，以应对无家可归者不断涌现的需求。
费拉达承诺在 4 年内消除蒙特利尔的无家可归者营地，但她表示在此期间，不会拆除营地内帐篷。
她说，市政府正在制定一套管理营地的方案，以尊重居住者的尊严。
蒙特利尔这位新任市长表示，无家可归危机比以往任何时候都更加严重，这将是她工作的重中之重。
