加拿大总理办公室周三 (7 日 ) 证实说，总理卡尼将于下周访问中国。
总理办公室表示，此次访问计划于 1 月 13 日至 17 日进行，旨在提升渥太华与北京在贸易、能源、农业和国际安全等领域的合作。
加拿大总理上一次访问中国是在 2017 年，时任总理杜鲁多当时会见中国国家主席习近平，但未能就启动贸易协议谈判的条款达成协议。
