蒙特利尔市中心Ste-Catherine街路段要关闭两年 受影响商户可获补助

蒙特利尔市中心位于Peel及Mansfield之间的Ste-Catherine街将于下周展开新一期的施工。
工作人员周二(8日)已经封锁了该处的十字路口，设置围栏并拆除停车表。除了重新铺设道路，工人们还将深入地下挖掘以更换供水和下水道系统。
由于工程的复杂性，以上路段将会关闭两年，汽车必须绕道行驶。
蒙特利尔市长普兰特(Valerie Plante) 表示：“这些管道非常残旧，我们要避免管破裂的情况发生。尤其是市中心，这里有地铁，还有很多店铺和大企业。”
由于该工程将会24/7不停施工，预计这将对店铺生意造成很大影响。
该地区的大多数商店都是连锁店，不会对其业务可能受到的影响发表评论。
但商会表示已经与市政府达成协议，以帮助那些因停车位和人流量不足而受到影响的商户。
市政府执行委员会成员Luc Rabouin 说：“这是一项全新计划，我们向受影响的每个商户提供5,000元，而且无需提供任何利润损失证明。这些商户之后可以申请另一个计划，如果他们真的因为工程而遭受利润损失，可以申请最高4万元补助金。“
