向现实低头 魁北克拟提高移民名额两成

尽管省长勒戈 (François Legault) 不断重申魁北克难以接受更多新移民，但有报导称魁省政府研究在 PEQ 录取毕业生框架外，增加接纳两成新移民。
为了解决魁省严重劳工短缺问题，移民部长周四 (25 日 ) 提交了新方案，以就 2024-2027 年度的规划进行公开咨询。
据报政府正在研究两种方案。
第一个建议是逐渐增加移民名额， 从现时的 5 万人提升 到 2027 年的 6 万人。
政府将会按劳工市场需求挑选移民申请人，主要是“在熟练工人类别中”。
另一建议是继续接纳来自“魁北克经验计划” (PEQ) 并取得 CSQ 申请永久居民的“在魁北克毕业的外国学生”。
至于在 第二 个 情 况下，魁北克将维持现状每年接纳约 5 万名移民。
然而，省长勒戈在去年秋天省选期间，驳回了增加移民名额的建议。他随后表示，每年接纳超过 5 万名新移民是等同“自杀”。
省长在蒙特利尔大都会商会 (CCMM) 发表演说时表示，魁北克有必要制止法语衰落，在这时候若增加移民名额，有点儿等同自杀。
