加国8月失业率7个月来首次上升 魁省全国唯一就业人数增加省份

加拿大8月录得失业率5.4%，比 7 月份的历史低位4.9% 上升了0.5%，是过去7个月以来首次上升。
至于在魁北克，8月份的失业率为4.5%，上升了 0.4%。魁省更是全国唯一一个在 8 月份就业人数增加 27,000人的省份，加拿大统计局发再有更多的魁人在寻找工作。
加拿大统计局表示，全国8月份录得4万个职位流失，主要集中于公共部门。
就业下降主要集中于15至24岁的年轻女性，及55至64岁的年龄层。
上月平均时薪按年上升5.4%，较7月份录得的5.2%升幅有所扩大。但统计局警告，随着不少人到达退休年龄，雇主可能要继续面对招聘上的挑战。
新移民方面，8月的失业率达7.6%，尽管是2006年有数据以来最低的8月份数字，仍然超出加国整体失业率。
统计局亦发现，希望离职者的比率正在上升中；数据显示，有11.9%长期雇员计划在未来12个月内离职，数字几乎是1月份的两倍。
加国各省份中，8月份失业率最高的是纽芬兰与拉布拉多，达到10.5%；其次是爱德华王子岛，为7.3%；而安省的失业率为5.7%，卑诗省为4.8%，亚省为5.4%。
