蒙特利尔老城大火涉无牌短租 市长要求会见Airbnb高层

蒙特利尔老城一栋历史建筑上周发生的五级大火，导致 1 人死亡，6 人失踪(包括1名华裔女子)的悲剧，据报当时大楼内被用作 Airbnb 短期出租。由于事发大楼位于禁止短租区域，市长普兰特(Valerie Plante)周一(20日)公开要求与 Airbnb 的高管会面。
自 2018 年以来，蒙特利尔历史街区实施短租禁令，这意味着涉事的火警大楼存在非法无牌短租。普兰特表示，她已写信给 Airbnb 美国东北部及加拿大地区的负责人安排会面。
据报，发生大火的大楼最初被消防员认为只有1人失踪，但后来得知大楼中的几个单元被用作短期出租，这使得住户难以追踪。蒙特利尔警方周一证实，失踪者来有自魁省、安省和美国的其他地区。
蒙特利尔市政部门亦表示，Airbnb 在该大楼地方开设是非法的。然而，截至周一，仍有数十处老城区房产在 Airbnb 网站上出租。 Airbnb 拒绝透露为何网站允许房东在未经授权进行短期租赁的情况下提供房源。
普兰特称，蒙特利尔会采取更多措施来规范未经授权的 Airbnb 出租行为，并呼吁该公司要配合运作。
魁省旅游部长普鲁克斯(Caroline Proulx)则表示，希望能够直接向 Airbnb 等违反规定的网站处以罚款，并且加强魁省相关短租授权的立法。
