加拿大1月起禁海外买家购房 但有些人可获豁免

加拿大按揭及房屋局（简称CMHC）周三（21日）公布禁止外国购房者的规定，该禁令将于2023年1月1日生效，以确保房产为加拿大人所有。
CMHC指，从2023年开始，所有外国企业和个人将被禁止在加拿大购买住宅物业，为期两年。然而，禁令不适用于符合特定标准的留学生、外籍劳工，或在加拿大永久居留的外国公民，换言之，措施不影响长居加国的非加籍居民。
该禁令已于6月23日由议会通过，旨在解决住房负担能力方面的挑战。
非加籍人士若被发现违反禁令，将被处以最高10,000元的罚款，并可能被勒令出售该房产。
住房部长房屋部长胡森（Ahmed Hussen）表示，住房不应该是一种“商品”，该禁令旨在确保住房归加拿大人所有。
