魁省越来越多超市限向会员提供更大折扣 是歧视老人？

魁省消费者抱怨越来越多超市仅限向会员提供更大的优惠，并谴责这是“歧视性”折扣。
魁省退休政府公务员协会的Hélène Manuri表示，尽管这些会员卡是免费申领，但这种做法存在了双重标准。
目前不少超市推出了批量折扣，向购买两件或三件商品的客户提供更大折扣价。例如，一盒售价3.99元的曲奇，如果您购买至少三盒，售价则为2.99元。
然而，向会员提供的折扣有所不同：没有限制购买超过一件商品，但您必须持有该超市的会员卡。
可是，一些老年消费者认为以上的两种做法均存在歧视。 Manuri解释说：“这些折扣方法对老人来说太过复杂了。”
这位68岁女士谴责这种“毫无意义”的折扣。她质问： “如果忘记带会员卡怎么办？”
食品专家 Sylvain Charlebois表示，随着通货膨胀，更多顾客转向1元店等非传统超市。 “超市为了留住顾客，在别无选择下只能提供不同优惠吸引顾客。”
部份超市解释说，顾客申请会员卡既免费又简单，因此不存在“歧视”。
Loblaw 发言人说，Provigo和Maxi 顾客“只需出现在结账处，便可以立即免费获得一张会员卡，无需采取进一步措施”。
他们并表示顾客无须在线下载或使用应用程序提供的优惠，所以不存在歧视。
