蒙特利尔养老院爆发严重感染 4人死亡

蒙特利尔西区一间私人养老院 (RPA) 爆发 A群链球菌病 (GAS)后，有4人死亡。
蒙特利尔公共卫生官员称，Lachine区的Les Résidences Floralies发现6 例相关确诊感染病例。
公共卫生局并证实疫情已经蔓延到第二间养老院，LaSalle区的Les Résidences Floralies发现至少一起病例。
Centre-Sud-de-l'Île的CIUSSS发言人Jean Nicolas Aubé说，蒙特利尔公共卫生部门正在密切关注情况，正在进行流行病学调查。
这不是 Résidence Les Floralies 第一次在其设施中爆发A 群链球菌。 2019 年 2 月，该个位于LaSalle的院舍有3名老人因染病死亡，从而迫使院舍制定一项检测感染的计划。
该私人院舍在一年后的新冠疫情亦受到重创，在第一波疫潮中至少有 18 名住客死亡。
传染病专家 Matthew Oughton医生表示，A群链球菌病很容易被检测到，并且在医护机构中很常见。
他说：“它相对容易治疗，但感染范围从轻微到危及生命。它具有高度传染性，可能导致并发症并具有侵入性。”
他指出魁北克前省长布沙尔（Lucien Bouchard）在感染这种疾病后，因坏死性筋膜炎（一种食肉病）失去了一条腿。
“当我们看到疫情爆发时，我们必须采取措施筛查传播并把有需要人士隔离和治疗。”
