魁省Olymel大型屠宰场关门 近千工人丢饭碗

魁省猪肉生产商Olymel周五（14日）宣布，将关闭南部的一家大型屠宰场，并解雇994名工人。
据《都市报》报道，Olymel周五表示，Beauce区的Vallée-Jonction厂房将成为最新一家关闭的工厂，该公司最近几个月已先后宣布关闭其他几家工厂。
Olymel首席执行官热维斯（Yanick Gervais）表示，由于疫情、劳动力短缺和出口市场不稳定等因素，导致猪肉行业在过去两年损失了4亿元。
热维斯表示，Vallée-Jonction工厂因为劳动力不足，设施条件差，公司无力支付数千万元的翻新费用。
该公司愿意重新安置下岗工人，只要他们肯前往Olymel剩余的3个屠宰场或其他设施工作。
Vallée-Jonction的工厂将在未来8个月内逐渐结束运营，最终于12月22日关闭。
