蒙特利尔发现能分泌麻痹毒素蠕虫 正在入侵魁省

蒙特利尔西山市(Westmount)一名退休教师上周在住所花园清除蛞蝓时，发现了大约20条锤头扁虫(hammerhead flatworm)。
这是一种来自亚洲的入侵性蠕虫，能分泌一种危险、使人麻痹的毒素。
近年来，加蒂诺(Gatineau)和蒙特利尔先后发现了一些锤头扁虫，但在魁北克省有如此多的个别报告，还是第一次。
蒙特利尔大学昆虫学家诺曼丁(Etienne Normandin)表示，它们的增殖令人担忧，尤其是因为它们分泌一种像河豚毒素那样的麻痹毒素。诺曼丁表示：“如果儿童吃进含有扁虫的土壤，将会造成危险。”
他说如果吞下，这种毒素将首先攻击口周区域，即面部、舌头和食道中的所有部位。 “若发生这种情形，孩童必须立即送医救治。”
锤头扁虫还对鸟类、狗和其他动物以及土壤生物多样性构成威胁。
诺曼丁解释说，这种入侵物种在本地没有天敌，它们会捕食蛞蝓、蜗牛和千足虫，而这些物种「提供了一项非常重要的服务，那就是有机物的回收」。因此，这种蠕虫会威胁生态平衡。
