魁北克仅签发法语结婚证书 有伴侣改到安省结婚

在新的 96 号法案影响下，魁北克上周开始只颁发法语结婚证书。
一位婚礼策划师表示，从 6 月 1 日起生效的新规定已经让一些新人改变了婚礼地点，因为他们想得到英文证书。
蒙特利尔活动和婚礼策划师 Jaime Korey 说，有些人已经决定到其他省份结婚。
Korey 说这些客户主要改到安省结婚，部份选择到位于蒙特利尔以西约一小时车程的小镇 Hawkesbury 。
Korey 说她的九成客户会说双语而没有受到影响。但她说对大约一成的客户来说，结婚证书的语言确实很重要。
无论如何，她认为魁北克是双语省份及在一个英语国家内，提供英语结婚证书是必需的。
另一个尚未澄清的主要问题是，第 96 号法案是否也意味着魁北克的出生和死亡证明从现在开始只能以法语签发。
但司法部和 État Civil 尚未回应媒体的相关查询。
