魁北克高等法院批准一项针对 Uber“ 取消费用 ”(cancellation fee) 的集体诉讼。
该诉讼由原告 Valerie Ohayon 提出。其律师团队指控 Uber 违反了魁北克消费者保护法，原因为该公司在服务条款中未明确说明取消订单将收取固定费用。
律师指出， Uber 的条款仅提及 “ 可能会收取某些取消订单的费用 ” ，但并未清楚列明具体收费标准。
原告方面要求赔偿损失，并为所有符合条件的集体诉讼成员退还已收取的费用。
Uber 方面否认相关指控，并表示在用户取消行程或外卖订单前，相关费用已明确向用户披露。
根据法院裁定，自 2019 年以来在魁北克取消 Uber 行程或 Uber Eats 订单并被收取费用的用户，将自动纳入本次集体诉讼范围。
