陷语言慰问风波 加航宣布首席执行官将于今年退休

加拿大航空公司 (Air Canada ，简称加航 ) 宣布，首席执行官卢梭 (Michael Rousseau ，图 ) 将于今年第三季度末退休。
卢梭的离职源于本月初他因在纽约空难（两名加拿大航空快运飞行员遇难）后发布的视频慰问中缺乏法语而受到批评。
该段发布在网上的四分钟视频中只出现了两个法语单词 ——“bonjour” （你好）和 “merci” （谢谢）。
加拿大总理卡尼表示，仅用英语发布视频信息的决定表明 “ 缺乏判断力和同情心 ” 。
卢梭于 2021 年 2 月被任命为加航首席执行官，此前他曾担任副首席执行官兼首席财务官。
加航表示，其董事会在评估下一任首席执行官候选人时将考虑多项标准，其中包括法语沟通能力。
