魁省紧急煞停近百项学校扩建计划 引发教育界担忧

魁省政府除了对学校系统削减 2 亿元经费外，据报还搁置了大约 100 项扩建计划，其中包括学校建设、扩建和增加课室，这引起了市政府的愤怒和教育界的担忧。
据报受影响的学校服务中心是在上周五 (13 日 ) 的一次会议上获悉了这一情况。
根据教育部的数据，已经在施工的计划仍然继续进行，但在约 150 个处于规划阶段的项目中，有 99 个项目已暂停，直至另行通知。
以蒙特利尔南岸为例， Longueuil 市 3 所小学和 Brossard 一所小学的建设项目也被搁置，这些项目原本可额外容纳近 3 千名学生。
魁省教育部长德兰维尔 (Bernard Drainville) 的办公室澄清说，这些项目没有被取消，但是要调整进展速度。
教育部重申，政府对教育的投资已经达到了历史最高水平，而且将保持在非常高的水平，但必须尊重魁北克人的钱包。
教育部说，自 2018 年以来， CAQ 政府已投资 “ 创纪录的金额 ” 来建设、翻新和扩建学校，从 90 亿元增加到 230 亿元。
然而，尽管政府最近投入了大量资金，但学校空间不足仍然是 “ 重大 ” 问题。
