魁省大学教授被控盗窃外国学生奖学金

魁北克反腐部门 (UPAC) 警察逮捕了一名涉嫌诈骗和勒索外国学生的前大学教授。
警方称，瓦姆库埃 (René Wamkeue ) 使用阴谋手段盗窃了本该用于他指导的外国硕士生和博士生的奖学金。
UPAC 在新闻稿中表示，瓦姆库埃面临欺诈、勒索和秘密收取佣金的指控。
警方称，瓦姆库埃从 2010 年到 2017 年在位于蒙特利尔西北约 500 公里的 Abitibi-Témiscamingue 的魁北克大学担任工程学教授。
瓦姆库埃获有条件释放，将于 2 月再次出庭受审。
该大学尚未立即发表评论。
