特朗普扬言美国不需要加拿大的石油和天然气

美国总统特朗普周四 (23 日 ) 透过连线在达沃斯世界经济论坛上表示，美国不需要加拿大的石油、天然气、汽车或木材。
他表示： “ 我们将要求其他国家尊重我们 …… 多年来，加拿大一直很难对付。 ”
特朗普也重申让加拿大成为美国一部分的建议，称这是一条逃避他可能在 2 月前实施 25% 关税的途径。
过去几个月来，关税威胁一直笼罩着加拿大商界和政界。渥太华已警告特朗普，如果他坚持这么做，加拿大将做出强烈回应。
如果贸易战真的开打，两国之间现有的贸易关系将会被颠覆。
例如，加拿大供应了美国大部分的原油进口量，比世界其他国家的总和还要多。根据加拿大政府预测，到 2023 年，美国进口的原油中 60% 来自加拿大。美国进口的天然气中，有 99% 都是加拿大供应的。
根据加拿大商会统计，每天约有 36 亿元的货物跨境运输。美加贸易关系链创造了两国共 370 万个就业机会。
专家警告称，贸易战可能导致加拿大数十万人失业，将对加拿大造成毁灭性打击。
