魁省将准许餐厅向爽约顾客收取费用 业界嫌罚额太低

魁北克省政府表示正在草拟一项法案，准许餐厅向预订了餐桌，却没有提前通知而爽约的顾客收取费用。
餐厅将能够向“放鸽子”的顾客收取每人最高 10元的费用，但前提是预订人数为 5 人或以上。
但是，如果团体中至少有一名人到场就餐，餐厅老板将不得收取费用。
该提案是回应餐厅老板的投诉，多年来，餐厅老板一直在要求政府帮助他们弥补因顾客爽约而造成的损失。
魁北克餐厅协会的 Martin Vézina 对政府的提案表示欢迎，但表示费用应提高到20元，并应适用于人数少于 5 人的团体。
根据拟议法案，就餐者可以提前最多三个小时取消预订而无需支付费用，餐厅必须在预订后的6到48小时内向顾客发送提醒。
