魁省东部城镇遭遇疑似龙卷风吹袭

魁省东部城镇 (Estrie) 周四 (19 日 ) 遭遇疑似龙卷风吹袭，造成的破坏在今天仍然清晰可见，例如凉亭被掀翻、房屋屋顶被吹毁和树木遭吹断。
加拿大环境部表示目前还无法立即归类为龙卷风的天气事件，但幸好未造成任何伤亡。
直至周五早上，当地大约有 20 户家庭仍然断电。
而在周四，当地仅仅 20 分钟内就下了 50 至 100 毫米的雨，还夹杂着乒乓球大小的冰雹，风速高达 100 公里 / 小时。
一位幸免于难的居民说： “ 一条电缆掉落在我家门前，由于有火灾风险，水电局人员立即派人来切断电源。 ”
加拿大环境部希望归类为龙卷风事件前，先行进一步评估这场微风暴造成的损失。
