南岸Brossard市华裔议员李西西起诉市长 索赔6.8万元

在满地可华人服务中心、南岸华人服务中心及其主任李西西在3月6日入禀控告皇家骑警诽谤索偿490万元的翌日，身兼南岸宝乐莎(Brossard)市议员的李西西及两个中心于周四向市长提出诉讼要求赔偿6.8万元。
在皇家骑警去年3月提出质疑两个华人服务中心充当“中国警察局”的角色后，宝乐莎市市长阿萨德(Doreen Assaad)随即要求李西西停止执行议员职务。

李西西的法律团队在新闻稿哀叹道：“阿萨德女士多次在缺乏任何证据的情况下质疑李女士当选的合法性以及她作为宝乐莎市议员的诚信度。”
李西西亦在新闻稿说：“遗憾的是，我的市政府同僚没有捍卫我无罪推定的权利，而是选择诽谤我。”她指责市长阿萨德给偏见火上浇油，导致造成更大伤害。

李西西及两个华人服务中心现时向阿萨德市长寻求总计6.8万元的精神和惩罚性赔偿。
周三，李西西等向魁北克高等法院提交了一份诉讼申请，向加拿大皇家骑警索赔490万元，借此寻求达成和解协议。
