只接受法语移民？魁省不足半数人支持

由Léger及《蒙特利尔日报》进行的联合调查显示，魁省73%受访者认为“联邦政府订立接纳移民目标人数时应该先行咨询魁北克”。其中78%的法语族裔有这样的意见，非法语族裔则有58%。
渥太华公布2025年起每年接纳 50万名新永久居民，是2014年的两倍。
在得到73%的支持率下，省长勒戈 (François Legault)表示魁北克不会听从渥京的指令增加接纳移民。
总体而言，魁北克人对移民持积极态度。他们认为这是解决劳动力短缺的办法，是经济增长的源泉，也是应对人口老龄化的有效途径。
然而，只有22%的人希望提高魁北克的接纳移民人数。若将支持现状的人数加起来，民调结果显示有51%的受访者反对减少移民名额。
事实上，只有少数人(41%)赞成减少移民名额。
此外，魁人在“只接受说法语的移民”的问题上产生了很大分歧，支持率为47%。
法语和非法语族裔在此问题上的差异尤其明显，前者的赞成率为 57%，而非法语族裔的赞成率仅为 17%。
调查人员在2023年5月12日至15日，在网上访问了1,001名18岁及以上会说法语或英语的魁北克人。还访问了魁北克以外的1,144名会说法语或英语的加拿大人。
