谷歌蒙特利尔市中心办事处正式启用

美国科技巨头谷歌（Google）周三（2日）正式开设了其最新在蒙特利尔市中心的办事处，并宣布承诺提供275万元资金支持人工智能研究及数字教育等项目。
谷歌现时有大约 300 名员工在Viger街425号工作，距离会展中心仅几步之遥。它的办公室配备了改造后的通风系统、几件魁北克艺术品、一个供员工使用的图书馆空间以及一个以标志性的 Farine 五玫瑰标志为图案的巨型霓虹灯展示。
蒙特利尔的公司员工包括销售人员和工程师，他们专注于网络安全、人工智能研究和云计算等业务。大约三分之一的蒙特利尔员工负责谷歌的 Chrome 浏览器。
谷歌在这栋大楼里租了五层，目前占据了其中的三层。谷歌蒙特利尔平台负责人Jean-Philippe Gauthier说，剩下的两层楼应该在年底前填满。
根据该公司的政策，谷歌蒙特利尔的员工一般每周在办公室工作三天。
“即使在大流行之前，谷歌也一直非常灵活，”Gauthier 说。 “你会看到大多数员工在周二、周三和周四前来上班。除了有吸引力的工作空间之外，最大的创意往往始于一杯咖啡。”
