蒙特利尔西岛新增一家护照辧理处

联邦家庭、儿童及社会发展部长古尔德宣布，在全国新增5 个护照辧理处，分布魁省、安省、艾省及卑诗省，其中魁省新增地点为蒙特利尔西岛Pointe-Claire的Fairview商场内。
这意味魁省共有7个护照辧理处，其中4个位于大蒙特利尔内
古尔德部长表示这些地点都是经过策略性的选择，以帮助解决一些最繁忙地区的长时间等候问题。她说正在努力减少积压、并使服务标准恢复正常。
古尔德部长还援引护照服务局的推文指出：如果您已提交申请并在今后2个工作日内急需护照，请立即前往一间护照办事处要求紧急取件服务；如果您的申请已经完成而您不需要提供任何新的文件，您的档案可以转送到您前往的护照办事处。
单是在7月11日至17日这一周，加拿大服务部签发了 48,481 份护照，呼叫中心的平均等待时间为 56 分钟。
自2022年4月1日以来，加拿大服务部已签发605,440份护照。
