魁人党扬言如果成功独立 魁北克公民仍能保留加拿大护照

魁人党（ PQ ）领袖普拉蒙东（ Paul St-Pierre Plamondon ）周五表示，魁北克未来若成功独立，民众将能够保留其加拿大国籍。
他周五介绍了其蓝皮书的公民身份章节。蓝皮书是一份旨在解答有关魁北克展开独立进程问题的综合性文件。
普拉蒙东指出，联邦主义者曾声称，如果魁北克独立，魁人将失去护照，但他认为这项观点是错误的。

蓝皮书的新章节提供了几种获得魁北克公民身份的方案。
在独立之日，所有居住在魁北克的加拿大公民将自动获得魁北克公民身份，但对于非公民以及魁北克以外的法语人士，则制定了其他程序。
普拉蒙东表示，魁北克公民如果想要拥有双重国籍，仍然可以获得加拿大国籍，因为加拿大目前允许双重国籍。
他辩称： “ 魁北克独立后，魁人获得加拿大国籍是具可能性的，这尤其基于法院对《加拿大权利与自由宪章》第 6 条和第 15 条以及某些国际公约的解释。 ”
“ 加拿大难道可以选择专门歧视魁北克人吗？那岂不是意味着除了魁北克人之外，任何人都可以拥有两本护照？根据我们对适用法律的理解，这显然是一种歧视，根本无法通过法院的审查。 ”
