加拿大考虑仿效澳大利亚 禁14岁以下儿童使用社交网站

据报加拿大政府考虑禁止 14 岁以下儿童使用社交网站的消息后，联邦文化部长米勒（ Marc Miller ）周五 (23 日 ) 表示，正研究包括澳大利亚在内的其他地区做法。
此前澳大利亚成为全球第一个禁止儿童使用社交网站的国家。
报道称，米勒表示 “ 我正在研究多项措施，以限制甚至防止网络危害我们社会中最脆弱的群体，尤其是儿童。 ”
他没有透露政府正在考虑的具体措施，但表示任何针对社交网站的禁令，都必须与针对网络内容的监管互相结合，特别是针对儿童内容。
加拿大议会多年来一直在研究网络危害问题，众议员和参议员此前已就社交网站会如何影响儿童举行过多次听证会。
自 2021 年以来，自由党政府已两度提出有关网络危害的立法草案，均未获得议会通过。
