比起住房和食物，魁人更关心债务问题。年轻人方面，他们最担心永远无法置业。
大蒙特利尔 Centraide 与 Léger 调查公司合作进行财务焦虑指数调查，结果显示偿还债务成为魁人最担心的问题，甚至排在住房和食物支出之前。这项每年进行两次的调查，旨在了解魁北克人对其财务状况的担忧。
请记住，加拿大 Equifax 上月的一份报告显示，不把房贷计算在内，每位消费者的平均债务达到破纪录的 $21,131 。
调查结果显示， 85% 魁人对债务有不同程度的焦虑，其中 44% 人处于中度至极度焦虑状态。有些群体对财务的焦虑更为严重：少数族裔 (60%) 、父母 (58%) 、 18 至 34 岁年轻人 (54%) 。
调查还发现，超过六成 (61%) 的 18 至 34 岁年轻人担心永远无法置业。
Centraide 总裁皮纳德 (Claude Pinard) 指出，一项调查显示在蒙特利尔要年收入超过 10 万元才有能力买房。 “ 许多人甚至觉得在郊区也难以置业，这使到很多年轻人对买房感到绝望。 ”
