加拿大国防部公布中国气球飞行路线

中国气球事件引发加美两国关注，联邦国防部周五（17日）证实，在2月初最先被击落的气球曾从阿拉斯加进入加拿大领空，沿育空地区飞过卑诗省上空，最后从亚省一带再次进入美国本土。不过，当局重申气球飞过地方没有重要基建。
自发现首个中国气球事件以来，加拿大国防部官员首次公布其飞行路线。
战略联合参谋部参谋长普雷沃斯特（Paul Prévost）周五表示，中国气球在 1 月 30 日至 31 日期间，曾非法进入加拿大领空，即五角大楼在 2 月 2 日发现该气球的前几天。
对于有议员质疑加军在上周六没有击落育空上空的气球，相反由美国军机开展行动，加拿大的 CF-18 战机是否老化？普雷沃斯特解释说，当时有两架CF-18紧急飞往该地区，约有五分钟的路程，而美国 F-22 战机当时也飞过加拿大边境，「但我们还是希望在第一时间击落。」
