蒙特利尔市中心标志性音乐店Archambault将关闭

位于蒙特利尔Berri和St. Catherine街拐角的 Archambault 音乐店计划于6月关闭，突如其来的消息令很多长期客户感到震惊。
Archambault 集团在宣布关闭计划的新闻稿称，该地区多年来的不停施工，导致业务损失。
SEPB工会的贝兰德(Domenic Béland)称，大约有30名员工将因关闭而失业，其中有些人已经在该公司工作了几十年。
贝兰德还表示，Archambault店关闭不仅对工人造成巨大打击，对蒙市来说也是巨大损失。
Archambault的长期顾客格温说他每周两次到该店购买 CD。他说：“看到不断变化的情况令人难过，这里可能又会变成另一栋公寓楼。”
蒙特利尔商会最近的一项研究表明，市中心有太多不协调的建设项目，包括道路工程。
负责城市规划的蒙特利尔市议员博德里(Robert Beaudry)亦发声明对该Archambault店的关闭表示惊讶，并承认该店周边地区正在经历转型。
然而，Archambault集团表示由于其建筑物具有遗产价值，他们将要求不要拆除该标志性建筑。该建筑目前由Quebecor集团拥有。
