魁北克拟立法调高童工年龄限制

据报导，魁北克劳工部长布莱特（Jean Boulet）最早将于 2 月提交一项法案以更好地监管童工。
布莱特是在收到劳动咨询委员会 (CCTM)的报告后打算修改法例。
CCTM的建议跟随了工会和雇主协会的倡议，将就业的最低年龄限制定为 14 岁。
这意味着 11、12 或 13 岁的儿童将无法再工作，除非新法规设立豁免情况。
CCTM 还建议禁止14至16岁儿童在学年期间每周工作超过 17 小时，包括周末。
周一至周五最多 10 小时。后两项限制在假期和春假期间不适用。
在劳动力短缺的情况下，越来越多的儿童进入劳动力市场。这不仅引发了健康和安全问题，2021年16岁以下儿童的工作事故增加了36%，而且辍学率也上升了。
布莱特于6 月审查了现行法例试图进行改善。
布莱特称将致力根据CCTM的报告立法，但不保证其所有建议都包含在法案中。
