蒙特利尔卡车司机撞死骑车者浑然不知 无须负责

蒙特利尔警方称周二(4日)下午一辆油罐车撞倒一名骑自行车者的致命碰撞 纯粹 为意外。
警方周三上午表示，不会对该名 53 岁卡车男司机提出任何指控。该名男子在周二上午驾驶一辆油罐车驶向 Papineau 大道的 Jacques Cartier 大桥，撞倒一名 43 岁的骑自行车男子。有目击者称，死者从自行车上摔下来，跌倒在卡车的车道上。
骑车者被宣布当场死亡。
事故发生后不久，警方无法找到继续行驶的卡车，警方当时考虑这起肇事逃逸犯罪的可能性。
警方后来找到了这辆卡车，并于周二晚上向司机问话。
自行车倡导者敦促骑车者在蒙特利尔道路上保持谨慎，特别是在靠近大型车辆时。
Velo Quebec 发言人 Magali Brebonne 表示：“你不应该在卡车周围，不应该超车。为了你自己的安全着想，真的应该留在后面，因为我们常常没有意识到这些卡车周围的盲点有多大。”
