航空燃油告急 加航即日起暂停飞古巴航班

由于古巴主要机场警告即将耗尽航空燃油，加拿大航空（ Air Canada ）周一 9 日宣布即日起暂停飞往古巴的航班服务。
加航周一发表声明表示，未来数天将安排空机前往古巴，接载约 3 千名仍滞留当地的乘客返加。
路透社指出，古巴长期依赖委内瑞拉供应航空燃油，但自去年 12 月中旬起，该国未再收到任何原油或精炼产品，原因是美国采取措施阻止委内瑞拉出口相关能源产品。

加航表示，就仍需执行的航班，将于起飞时额外携带燃油，并在返程时如有需要作技术性中途降落加油。
航空公司同时宣布，前往 Holguín 及 Santa Clara 的季节性航班，将于本季度余下时间全面取消；至于原定全年运作的 Varadero 及 Cayo Coco 航线，目前亦告暂停，暂定视乎情况于 5 月 1 日后再作检讨是否复航。
受事件影响，多家加拿大航空公司已先后发出古巴航班警示，或提供更弹性的取消及改期安排。加航、西捷航空（ WestJet ）、越洋航空（ Air Transat ）及太阳翼航空（ Sunwing ）均宣布容许乘客弹性改期或取消行程。
西捷航空已对 2 月 9 日至 2 月 26 日期间所有往返古巴的航班发出旅游提示。
