法语地位危？魁省双语人口比例上升

加拿大统计局的 2021 年人口普查显示，法语地位出现灾难性危机。在2016年至2021年期间，母语为法语的人口比例进一步下降，从22.2%下降到21.4%，1971年的比例曾经高达27.2%。
虽然法语的比例下降不足一个百分点，但以英语为母语的人口比例，在同一期间内几乎增加了一个百分点，从2016 年的 74.8% 上升到 2021 年的 75.5%。
魁省双语人口比例上升
数据同时表明，魁省2021年超过一半人口表示他们能够使用两种官方语言进行对话。
加拿大统计局表示：“这是自 1901 年人口普查以来首次跨越这一门槛，当时首次收集有关官方语言的信息。”
魁北克双语人口上升1.9%的同时，加拿大的双语人口在 2016 年至 2021 年期间保持相当稳定，仅微升0.1% 达到18%。
结果意味双语使用率在魁北克保持上升趋势，但在魁北克以外的地区却在下降。
