全国汽油税最高城市排名 蒙特利尔位居第4

加拿大纳税人联合会的一项报告显示，蒙特利尔在加拿大汽油税最高的城市中排名第4，汽油税占零售总价格的33%。
至于排名前第3位分别是温哥华（39%）、维多利亚（36%）和卑诗省其他地区（37%）。
至于汽油价格最高的省份中，魁北克省同样排名第4，平均加油价格约为1.69元。若以城市计算，卑诗省维多利亚市位居全国汽油价格最高榜首，每升价格为1.99元（7 月第三周的平均价格），其中71分是税金。
该年度报告谴责了魁省实施的“汽油最低价格”政策，该政策为省内每个地区的汽油产品销售设定了最低法定价格。
纳税人联合会魁省总监加格农(Nicolas Gagnon)指出，该政策允许加油站有机会抬高价格。
艾伯塔省或安大略省已经先后降低汽油税，加格农认为魁省政府应该考虑效仿。
根据魁省规定的“汽油最低价格”，若有加油站以低于最低价格限制销售产品，将构成不公平竞争而被控。根据能源局(Régie de l'énergie)的记录，2021 年至 2022 年期间，当局共发出547份相关司法检控书。
