议长裁定:不向英王宣誓议员 不能参加魁北克省议会

魁北克国民议会议长帕拉迪斯（François Paradis）周二（1日）裁定，所有议员若想履行职责，必须向英国查理三世国王宣誓，不能够仅仅向魁北克人民宣誓。
魁人党 (PQ) 和魁北克团结党 (QS) 的当选议员上月在他们的宣誓仪式上没有向英王宣誓。
两党的决定使他们在省议员资格受到质疑。两党都希望执政党CAQ通过一项动议或法案，支持他们在省议会履行议员责任。
帕拉迪斯说，他的决定是基于省议会法案，魁北克法律规定必须宣誓效忠加拿大国家元首——现为英国王查理三世——才能参加议会程序。
帕拉迪斯在他的裁决中写道：“按照目前的法律，这个誓言是不可缺少的。”
