魁省发现更具传染性XXB.1.5变种

据称比Omicron变种更具传染性的XXB.1.5 亚变种，加拿大已经确认有21起病例。
加拿大公共卫生署（PHAC）表示，将继续监测相关病例在加拿大及在国际上的发展。
PHAC没有列明确诊病例在各省份的分布。据报导，魁北克省自去年 12 月以来，已经发现了一些病例，而卑诗省则确认至今发现了5例。
早期科学研究表明，XXB.1.5可能是迄今为止最有效的逃避疫苗接种或先前感染新冠产生抗体的变种。尽管它具有很高的传染性，但它似乎没有引起更严重的症状。
美国白宫新冠疫情应对协调员、医师兼研究员Ashish Jha表示，就目前所知，如果你在去年7月份之前感染过或者最近一次接种疫苗是在9月份以前，那么你能对抗XBB 1.5毒株感染的防护能力就不会很强。
这种新变种在美国东北部的毒性特别强，大约四分之三的感染病例都是由它引起。
