强风袭魁省 导致广泛地区数十万户家庭断电

由于强风及夜间的暴风雨天气，导致周二 (17 日 ) 上午魁省几乎所有地区都有家庭断电。
截至上午 9:08 ，魁省共有 306,522 户家庭断电，受灾最严重的两个地区分别为 Montérégie (85,464) 及 Lanaudière (63,995) 。
魁北克水电局 (Hydro-Quebec) 证实，停电主要是由于风速在 90 至 120 公里 / 小时之间的强风所造成。
水电局表示全省已派出超过 1,100 名工作人员以安全高效地开展抢修，以尽快恢复供电。
加拿大环境与气候变化部（ ECCC ）也对大蒙特利尔地区发布了强风警报。
ECCC 指出，屋顶、围栏、树枝或简易住所可能会受损。飞散或坠落的碎片可能造成人员伤亡。
当局并预计风力将在中午逐渐减弱。
