魁北克省斥资方便妇女获取避孕药

为了履行确保妇女对生育自主权的承诺，魁北克省将为妇女获取堕胎药提供更大的方便。
魁省妇女地位部长拜伦 (Martine Biron) 周一(18日)表示全球妇女权利不断下降，加拿大三分之一的妇女会堕胎的情况下，她说加强妇女权利显得非常重要。
魁省因此打算开发更多新的终止妊娠服务点提供堕胎药。
拜伦说，居住在蒙特利尔以外地区的魁人有时候要等待长达五星期时间才能接受堕胎，她说让人们更便利获得堕胎药有助减少延误。
魁省政府表示，2022年服用堕胎药占总体终止怀孕的比例为 17%，而安省为32%，美国为 53%，法国为72%。
魁北克省的750万元计画包含四个主要项目：促进各地区堕胎的机会、打击虚假信息、增加关于避孕的宣传和加强研究。
拜伦称，美国最高法院2022年推翻了半个世纪前在标志性的“罗诉韦德案”（Roe v Wade）中作出的堕胎合法化裁决，加剧了魁人及加拿大人对堕胎权利的担忧。
