多伦多至魁北克城高铁项目反对声音升温 卡尼辩称创造“庞大”就业机会

随着连接多伦多与魁北克城的高速铁路项目推进，来自各地的反对声音正不断增加，总理卡尼周二 (7 日 ) 为项目进行辩护。
反对意见主要来自沿线可能被征地的居民。卡尼对此表示，政府将对受影响居民提供补偿。
他强调，该项目将直接创造 “ 数量庞大 ” 的就业机会，并对长远经济带来显著推动作用。

保守党领袖博励治（ Pierre Poilievre ）上周公开表示，政府应取消这一拟建高铁项目。与此同时，在安大略省和魁北克省的农村地区，反对情绪也在持续升温。
根据规划，该项目第一阶段将连接蒙特利尔与渥太华，预计将于 2029 年或 2030 年启动建设。
整个高铁项目的总成本预计在 600 亿至 900 亿元之间，规模庞大，也引发了外界对财政负担的讨论。
