加拿大8年近5万人死于服用过量鸦片类药物

加拿大公共卫生局周一(23日)发布的报告显示， 2016年1月至2024年6月间有近49,105人死于服用过量鸦片类药物。
数据显示，今年芬太尼致死人数目前占鸦片类药物死亡人数79%，比2016年增加39%。
加拿大外交部表示，美国、澳洲等国家曾经缉获加拿大生产的芬太尼，显示国内生产量超过需求，加拿大已成为芬太尼净出口国。当局警告，国内生产的芬太尼数量会进一步增加。
即将上任的美国当选总统特朗普曾经威胁，如果加拿大和墨西哥不采取更多措施阻止毒品和无证移民越境进入美国，他将对两国征收25%关税，也令加拿大的鸦片类药物危机受到瞩目。
