魁省等待手术超过一年人数降至疫情以来最低水平 但挑战仍在

魁省卫生部称，等待手术超过一年的患者人数降至 8,824 人，是疫情初期以来的最低数字。
上一次名单上的患者人数不足 1 万人已经要追溯至 2020 年 8 月。
然而，这些数字仍然远低于卫生部的目标。
卫生部原本盼望有关数字回复到疫情前的水平，意味只有 2,500 人等待手术超过 12 个月。
根据魁北克专科医生联合会的数据，问题主要是人手短缺，导致公共网络中近三成手术室关闭。
该联合会的专业事务主管加利医生 (Dr. Rafik Ghali) 表示，他们已投入 4.5 亿元来解决这一问题。他补充道： “ 不应该有患者等待超过一年。 ”
专科医生联合会正在与卫生部和 Sante Quebec 合作，延长手术室的开放时间。
虽然相关工作一年多前就开始了，但到目前为止只花费了 1 千万元。
加利医生相信新成立的机构 Sante Quebec 能够迅速寻找解决方案。
他说无论是患者或是医护人员，均希望魁省能够在未来一年兑现承诺。
