美国总统特朗普宣布明天（ 12 日）起向加拿大钢铝征收 50% 关税，比原定的 25% 增加了一倍，以以回应安 省 对出口到美国的电力征收 25% 附加税。
特朗普在 Truth Social 的帖文中表示，他已指示商务部长对这些产品再额外征收 25% 的关税，该措施将于周三上午生效。
特朗普并写道： “ 此外，加拿大必须立即取消对美国各种乳制品征收的 250% 至 390% 的关税，这项关税长期以来一直被认为是蛮横的。我将很快宣布受威胁地区进入国家电力紧急状态。 ”
安省周一向美国出口电力征收 25% 附加费，影响三个州约 150 万户家庭和商户。
特朗普还威胁说，如果加拿大不取消其他长期存在的恶劣关税，他将在 4 月 2 日 “ 大幅提高 ” 进口到美国的汽车关税。
他重申加拿大应成为美国 “ 第 51 个州 ” ，声称 “ 此举最为合理 ” 。
