加拿大央行符合预期维持2.75%利率不变

加拿大央行周三 (16 日 ) 宣布，符合市场预期维持其基本利率 2.75% 不变。
加拿大央行将基准利率维持在 2.75 厘，是自去年 6 月以来首次停止减息。自 2024 年 6 月以来，中央银行在连续七个决定中将其政策利率总共降低了 5% 。
央行行长麦克仑（ Tiff Macklem ，图）表示，央行需要时间观察美国关税战如何影响经济发展。
麦克仑补充说，央行预测关税战将向两个情况发展。一是迅速解决关税谈判，对经济的损害程度有限。另一个情况是全球贸易战持续，加拿大将陷入一年的经济衰退。
央行在声明中说： “ 消费，住宅投资和商业支出似乎在第一季度削弱了。 ”
“ 贸易紧张局势也破坏了劳动力市场的复苏。三月的就业人数下降，企业正在计划减慢招聘，工资继续表现出适度增长。 ”
